Currently growing in 7cm pots.
A low growing. stemless aloe with thick, glaucous leaves. Leaves are covered with white spines, and red tips when young, turning reddish / brown as the plant matures. Produces offsets. Eventual height approximately 40cm / 15 inches.
Care requirements: Provide a gritty, free-draining soil. Grow in filtered sunlight - will redden in strong light and turn pinkish when temperatures fall. Water as soil becomes dry, during the growing season, and feed with a suitable succulent feed. Water very sparingly / if required during winter. Leaves tend to curl inwards when it requires watering.
Hardy to -2c if kept dry and in a sheltered location.
