Japanese Holly fern.
An evergreen fern with dark green leaves held on dark, almost black, stems that also run black down the central vein of the leaf. Particularly appealing when new fronds unfurl in spring (see pictures).
Care requirements: grow in full sun or partial shade in moist soil. Remove old fronds if needed in early spring.
